In this resolution, ECOS commends DoD for its commitment to funding state involvement in the cleanup of its sites and working with states to improve the state-DoD relationship; requests that DoD continue to engage and communicate regularly with all states and territories regarding potentially contaminated DoD sites; supports continued collaboration through state groups; strongly encourages DoD to continue to work to address outstanding issues; requests that DoD seek adequate funding for all environmental response programs; and encourages Congress to appropriate as much funding as possible for DoD environmental response programs.
